As 2014 comes to a close and the exponential growth of the Tell Your Story campaign in the state of Kentucky, the Kentucky Baptist Convention, the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Promise of Hope Ministries have partnered with RU Institute again to launch Cuentenos Su Historia, a website dedicated to feature stories of victory in Christ in Spanish. "This project will extend the reach and impact of the Tell Your Story Campaign into the Spanish speaking word and we anticipate that this will have a lasting postive effect for the Gospel with Spanish speakers all over the world," said Andy MacDonald the KBC liaison for the project. "Thank you, Dr. Tim! And please express our gratitude to the RUI team for all their hard work as well. Thanks also to the SBTS and their partnership and to Carlos and Job at the KBC for doing the translation work and their willingness to listen to the stories! This was definitely a team effort."
After hearing from its many clients, especially non-profit organizations, RU Institute has launched a social media academy featuring two courses on the new social media powerhouse Periscope. "The goal was to give our clients and their staff members something that they can rely on to give them quality information about these platforms that they can use to leverage their mission and amplify their message," said RUI's President, Dr. Tim Stafford, "our goal is to make this academy a place that will be the go to choice for our clients in the future as we continue to create new courses and roll them out over the next year, and to make it so affordable, that it is a no brainer." Currently the Periscope course is being offered for free until January 2016 when the price for ANY courses will be only $9.95.
RU Institute has partnered with Orlando, Florida's highly respected Brantly Corporation to impact the community through gun safety and security services. RUI will be heading up efforts to help The Brantly Corporation setup and administer their email marketing and social media presence. Based on a long history of work with long time Orange County Sheriff, Kevin Beary, RUI is looking forward to working with the Brantly Group to bring their award winning services into the digital space.
RU Institute has partnered with LifePointe Church in Eustis, Florida to help them raise money for the Skip Haymans Recreational Park Program. Dr. Skip Haymans, a long time staff member of the church and member of the Eustis, Florida commuity died in late 2014 and his memory and legacy is the inspiration around the construction of the receration apark in his honor. RU Institute will be helping with the alternative giving platforms and social media giving, and the goal is to raise $50,000 by June, 2016.
RUI is excited to be a part of this campaign and sees the project as a win-win project for the church, the community and the Gospel in this rural area.
First Baptist Church of Rock Hill, South Carolina partnered with RU Institute to build a video evangelism site called A Story To Tell which launched in October 2015. This website is being populated by the church media department who is engaged in producing more than 200 video testimonies that will be added to the website. "This project was tricky in that ther were many moving parts," said RUI President Dr. Tim Stafford, "but the RUI team worked with the church to bring the technology seamlessly to them to create a platform that was easy for them to use and populate from their own desks. It was a great project that will be able to be used by other churches who have these media resources as a model in the future."
